A photograph of an outdoor shaded courtyard beneath a large, sprawling banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots. In the centre stands a man in a saffron-orange robe and shawl, one arm raised toward the tree trunk, apparently in a ritual or blessing gesture. Nearby, two women in white clothing stand with palms pressed together in prayer, and a few men in white and blue shirts stand or kneel at left with hands folded. A white-painted circular platform surrounds the tree base, and on the right a white pillar and a red-painted rock or shrine stand near a large black snake-like form on the ground. Sandy earth and dappled sunlight cover the ground.

On a dark polished granite platform of square slabs on dirt ground, a figure in an orange saffron garment with a reddish-brown shawl and a white garland stands with hands folded at chest level. Two attendants in white dhotis and white shirts with yellow sashes stand to the right beside a low white stone wall, one holding an object. A stone bench and steps lead to the tree. The figure's face and hair are partly obscured and the person is not clearly identifiable, so a person is unsure.2010-10-05An outdoor photograph beneath a large spreading banyan tree with aerial roots. Nearby, other saffron-robed attendants and a white-clad man stand around a white-walled circular platform at the tree base. A golden ceremonial staff with a finial stands at the left edge, and a man in white with an orange shawl holds a camera. Small offerings are scattered on the stone floor.2009-12-27December 31 20092009-12-31Outdoor photograph beneath a large banyan tree with thick hanging aerial roots and sunlit dirt ground. In the foreground, a man with long dark hair wears an orange saffron robe and stands with his back to the camera, facing a cluster of devotees. Most of the group wear white ritual clothing, including white kurta-style shirts and white dhotis, and several stand barefoot. A bearded man in white holds his hands together in front of him, and a man in white carries a camera bag. Other attendees include women in saris and salwar kameez in pink, blue and green, and a few people in orange. Low circular stone borders surround tree bases, and a small lamp stand is visible near the trunk.2009-10-15Outdoor scene beneath a massive banyan tree with many thick hanging aerial roots and spreading limbs. Several people in orange (saffron) robes stand in a row along the trunk, some holding long poles with orange flags, while others in white dhotis and white clothing stand or kneel on the sandy ground. A person in white kneels at the lower left near a low white-and-black bordered platform covered in red powder or offerings. Another figure in white stands centre-left by a shallow water or ritual basin. The setting suggests a guru puja performed under the tree, though no a person figure is clearly distinguishable from appearance alone.2006-10-06July 07 20092009-07-07
