Outdoor photo beneath a large banyan tree with many aerial roots and a long horizontal limb. On a dark polished granite platform of square slabs on dirt ground, a figure in an orange saffron garment with a reddish-brown shawl and a white garland stands with hands folded at chest level. Two attendants in white dhotis and white shirts with yellow sashes stand to the right beside a low white stone wall, one holding an object. A stone bench and steps lead to the tree. The figure's face and hair are partly obscured and the person is not clearly identifiable, so a person is unsure.

Behind him, a woman in a light patterned outfit stands at the left, and a person in white and another in pale green stand near the tree in a dirt courtyard with low circular stone seats. The man's hands are folded in front of his chest, with a calm, poised stance. Appearance-based cues here (hair, adornments) are not distinctive enough to confirm the identity of the man, so he is described by role and clothing only.2011-09-09A photograph of an outdoor banyan tree setting with large aerial roots and spreading branches.
