Two hands, one wearing a thin silver bangle, hold a bundle of thin sticks whose tips burn with a bright flame over a shallow steel plate. Burnt black material and a dark ash mound sit in the plate. Behind it stand a brass oil lamp, a brass vessel, and plates of yellow and red flowers, green leaves and marigolds. The scene suggests a homa or puja offering. No faces are visible and no a person candidate appears in the frame.2018-04-14A photograph of a homa fire pit at night, with bright orange flames and rising smoke. A man in an orange-red turban and orange-red cloth sits behind the fire pit, holding a silver ladle in his right hand and offering into the flames. Two polished silver bowls sit on the stone ledge to the left, and a brass kalasha with yellow flowers and green leaves stands to the right. The fire is built from wooden logs, and small offerings are scattered on the stone.2013-11-02A man in orange and saffron robes kneels before a blazing homa fire pit, feeding it with a metal ladle and a stick. He wears an orange turban, a rudraksha mala, and a saffron shawl over his shoulder. Smoke and flames rise from the stone pit, with silver bowls of offerings and a brass kalasha with green leaves at the edge. The setting appears to be an outdoor ritual space at night.2013-11-02December 20 20132013-12-20 +1 copiesApril 26 20182018-04-26 +1 copiesApril 11 20182018-04-11 +1 copiesClose-up photograph of a homa fire ritual.
