A photo of a fire ritual (homa) in progress. A priest in a brown-maroon dhoti and matching shawl, wearing a silver necklace and a rudraksha mala with a large bead, holds a small oil lamp in one hand and sprinkles pink flower petals into the fire with the other. A low square fire pit of yellow-brown bricks burns with bright flames in front of him. To the left, a garland of red and yellow flowers and green leaves rests on the floor beside silver ritual vessels, and a gold-covered structure stands behind. Only one physical person is visible. Partially visible persons are not present; a figure at the far upper left edge is blurred and unclear, and the a person appearance cannot be confirmed from clothing and cues alone.2018-04-11April 03 20182018-04-03A photograph of a seated priest performing a fire ritual beside a yellow-painted brick fire pit with flames and a copper bowl set on top.
