A dark black stone deity murti is being anointed with yellow liquid that runs down over its seated form and onto a tiered yellow-stained pedestal. A pink flower sits on the murti near its base. At left, the bare feet and white dhoti with a gold border of a standing priest are visible, and a hand appears at the left edge. Ornate silver-toned carved panels frame the scene, and the orange-red rocks at the base are stained with the same yellow. A blurred dark object sits in the foreground. The setting appears to be an outdoor shrine.2011-09-24A photograph of a priest in white ritual dhoti and shawl with a yellow sash and a white tilak on his forehead pouring liquid from a brass vessel over a dark stone deity murti. The murti has multiple arms, one holding a drum-like object, and is adorned with a rudraksha mala; yellow liquid streams down its head and body, and yellow garlands frame the silver-edged niche. The priest is barefoot and standing on a ledge, performing abhishekam. No other physical people are visible.2010-01-01A photograph of an abhishekam in progress at a temple shrine. A hand holding a silver vessel pours thick saffron-yellow liquid over a dark stone lingam, which streams down in a glossy column. Visible on the hand and wrist are white painted ceremonial markings and bangles. Behind, a golden deity murti and orange-robed figure stand near a stone pillar, and a wooden stool holds a white-clad priest's feet in white dhoti with a yellow border. The scene is set inside a temple hall.2011-09-19Outdoor photo at a shrine beside a black stone Ganesha murti adorned with yellow and white flower garlands and a silver crown, set against gold-embossed arch panels.
