Behind him, several people in orange and white garments are seated or standing in a whitewashed hall with framed pictures on the wall. Oil lamps glow on the floor and a red exit sign is visible. Several other people in orange or white clothing move around the room, and a seated devotee is in the lower centre.2015-11-18November 18 20152015-11-18A photograph of a seated group ritual in a dimly lit hall with many devotees behind. In the foreground a shaved-headed man with a red tilak on his forehead wears orange-red cloth over his shoulders, a dark rudraksha mala and a pendant, and holds a small lit oil lamp and a brass bell-like object while speaking. Beside him a young man in orange robes and a rudraksha mala raises one arm holding a lit lamp. Other devotees in orange and red garments sit on mats, and small oil lamps and offerings in brass trays are arranged on a low orange-cloth-covered table at left. Warm lamplight and smoke fill the air.2017-01-15January 15 20172017-01-15A seated group performs a ritual puja in an indoor hall, with several devotees holding incense sticks that send up smoke. In the foreground a shaven-headed man in orange and saffron robes wears a long rudraksha mala and a sacred thread, holding a brass bell and incense. Beside him, a man in orange clothes with glasses holds incense, and others in white and orange sit in rows behind. Brass puja vessels, small oil lamps, fruit, flower offerings and a banana rest on orange cloth in front. Young boys in striped shirts sit at the left edge.2011-12-28A photograph of a shaved-headed man in orange robes and a rudraksha mala holding a brass multi-flame aarti lamp aloft with both hands, flames rising before his face. Behind him several people in orange and white ritual clothes stand with palms pressed together in anjali, some with white tripundra markings on their foreheads, and a red curtain forms the backdrop. The lamp is an aarti performed as worship. The man's appearance does not clearly match the description of a distinctive presenter with several qualifying cues, so his identity is not established.2013-06-18A photograph of a seated ritual gathering in a hall. Many devotees in orange and saffron cloth sit in rows, several bare-chested with white forehead markings and beaded necklaces. In the foreground, a young man on the right holds up a lit oil lamp or wick, with a gold bangle and black wristband on his arm. Other participants hold small flames, and brass lamps glow in front of the rows. Blurred posters hang on the wall behind, and a framed picture sits at the back of the room.2017-01-25 +1 copies
