June 14 20132013-06-14June 08 20132013-06-08A large, spreading banyan tree with dense green foliage and many aerial prop roots dominates the scene. Beneath its canopy stands a raised stone platform with a dark statue and red flower offerings piled at its base. A woman in an orange sari stands near the platform, and a green cloth hangs down beside it. Five people in deep red garments stand around the base of the tree and platform, some with hands joined. Sandy ground and low stone walls surround the area under the open sky.2013-06-20June 21 20132013-06-21June 28 20132013-06-28A large, sprawling banyan tree dominates the frame, its wide canopy of green leaves spreading across the image and its many aerial roots hanging down and merging into thick trunks around a central trunk. Beneath the tree, a few small figures in light clothing stand and walk on bare earth near the base, with a green cloth draped over a structure at the left edge. The setting appears to be an open outdoor grounds.2013-06-13Photograph of a huge old banyan tree with a dense canopy of spreading branches and many hanging aerial roots forming multiple trunks. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts stand in the sandy ground around its base, with a small group of onlookers visible at the lower edge. Sunlight filters through green leaves overhead. A red and yellow cloth hangs at the right edge near the tree, possibly a ritual decoration. At the right, a shrine with a black stone linga and a green cloth draped on a pillar sits beside a heap of red flowers at its base. Two women in white and yellow saris stand at the shrine, one offering something at the linga. In the centre, a man in white shirt stands near the tree trunk, and at left a man in a light shirt sits on a low platform beside a woman in a green sari bending near the ground. The scene suggests a quiet puja under the banyan. No a person candidate is clearly visible.2013-06-13A large, ancient banyan tree dominates the frame, its dense canopy of green leaves spreading wide over the ground. Multiple thick aerial roots and trunks descend from the massive horizontal branches, forming a broad, sheltered grove. A low stone or brick border encircles the base of the tree on reddish earth. No people are visible in the scene, and a pole with a satellite-style dish appears at the upper left.2013-06-27
