December 12 20062006-12-12A large, sprawling banyan tree with many spreading horizontal branches and dense green leaves fills the frame, its aerial prop roots hanging down around a reddish-brown earthen ground. Circular low white-painted stone borders surround the tree bases. No people are clearly visible; a small figure may be partly hidden in the shade at the centre-right, but it is not distinct. Pale grey trunks rise at the right edge. Bright sky shows through gaps in the canopy.2013-06-20December 19 20062006-12-19A large banyan tree with a wide, dense canopy dominates a landscaped garden. A curved concrete-edged pathway of pale sand runs through the foreground, flanked by low yellow-green shrubs. Beneath the tree, a raised platform with a red-brown earthen mound and offerings sits at the base of the trunks. Tall slender trees frame the left and right sides, and a bright sky shows above. Faint lens flare appears near the crown.2008-11-05A large, old banyan tree with a dense canopy of green leaves and thick aerial roots spreads across a paved, reddish-brown courtyard. Beneath the trunk, two small figures in orange clothing stand near the base, and to the right stand painted deity statues, one in orange and gold robes beside a dark-blue figure. A hanging rope descends from the branches. The scene is an outdoor shrine area with a red boundary wall behind. The two figures are visibly small and distant, so their identity is uncertain.2017-07-16November 12 20102010-11-12A large banyan tree dominates an outdoor shrine setting, with long spreading horizontal branches and dense hanging aerial roots descending to the red-brown earth. No people are visible.2012-11-06July 04 20132013-07-04A photograph of a large, spreading leafy tree standing on bare reddish-brown earth scattered with dry fallen leaves, under a clear pale blue sky. Beneath the canopy, a low stone platform sits near a few round stone or clay pots arranged on the ground. Dry, leafless scrub trees frame the right side and a thin sapling stands in front. No people, deities or ritual activity are visible. At the base of the trunk, a small figure in orange robes stands near a low stone platform. To the right, a dark stone shrine or deity murti is draped in a yellow cloth and sits on a mound of red powder, beside a tall orange and white flag fixed to a pole. A narrow stone path leads through the dust toward the tree.2013-09-10November 12 20102010-11-12A large, sprawling banyan tree with many aerial roots and wide spreading branches forms a shaded canopy over an outdoor grounds area. Beneath it stands a small shrine on a round concrete platform, with a mound of red-orange powder or pigment and a dark statue wearing an orange cloth. Thin white poles and a hanging rope are visible around the tree, and a shallow dark pool and low stone-edged planters sit on the dusty ground. No people are visible in the scene.2010-11-30
