December 30 20182018-12-30Photo 11724193Night-time photograph at an outdoor shrine lit by a single distant lamp. Floral garlands of marigolds and red and white blossoms drape a dark stone deity murti or altar on the left. A woman in an orange saffron sari with a gold border raises a lit torch or flame aloft with her right arm, smiling. Beside her, a woman in an orange sari holds a brass tray with green leaves and offerings. Several people in white dhotis and white kurtas stand behind them among tree trunks, and one man holds a camera. The scene appears to be a ritual aarti at the shrine.2007-01-01Night-time outdoor ritual before a row of garlanded deity murtis, decorated with yellow, orange and purple flower garlands.
