January 22 20142014-01-22A man in orange and saffron robes kneels before a blazing homa fire pit, feeding it with a metal ladle and a stick. He wears an orange turban, a rudraksha mala, and a saffron shawl over his shoulder. Smoke and flames rise from the stone pit, with silver bowls of offerings and a brass kalasha with green leaves at the edge.
