At the centre, a bare-chested priest in a yellow cloth and gold-beaded necklaces sits behind a brick-lined fire pit (homa kunda) with a small flame and offerings. Beside him, another man in yellow and a rudraksha-style mala holds a microphone and seems to chant. A seated priest in a white dhoti with a green-and-red border faces the altar, holding an offering tray with fruits and flowers. Brass lamps, a kalasha pot, bananas, a plate of fruit, and a striped mat surround the altar, with a camera on a tripod at the right edge. Four to five physical people are visible in the scene.2016-03-27Night ritual on an outdoor stage at a homa or yagna. At left, a garlanded deity murti with marigold and white flower garlands stands beside a brass lamp with lit flames. In front, tiered offerings of yellow-tinted kalasha pots in mesh-wrapped baskets sit on banana leaves. A man in white dhoti with an orange shawl sits cross-legged before a brass vessel, with a microphone stand near him. A shirtless boy in white dhoti sits at right, and a priest in orange-and-white attire works at a brass dish of sticks and offerings. Another man in white with an orange shawl sits behind, and banana plants and a stage backdrop frame the scene.2012-10-18September 14 20102010-09-14December 20 20112011-12-20Photo 11726688Night outdoor ritual on a white platform at a Bali Inner Awakening event. Four people in orange saffron robes sit on mats and a raised seat; the central figure wears white dhoti and has white markings. The man at left holds a microphone on a stand. A figure in orange on the right sits near brass pots and an incense stick, with marigold garlands and yellow flower offerings scattered around. Behind them, a draped maroon table holds small deity murtis decorated with yellow marigold garlands. A gold-painted empty throne/peetha stands at far left, and a lit illuminated shrine panel glows in the background.2013-12-21
