The statue wears a maroon and gold-bordered garment with silver studded ornamentation, a red turban, layered jewelled necklaces and a raised hand gesture. Golden carved pillars, a lion-like sculpted pillar and draped silk fabrics in gold and purple surround the murti. The setting appears to be a festive ritual display with no visible people.2016-12-05A small golden-bronze deity murti stands centrally in a gilded shrine, adorned with a tall crown, a jewelled necklace and a pink-and-blue embroidered garment, garlanded with red roses and yellow marigolds with green leaves. The murti is placed on a draped peetha with a pink and gold cloth and a brass kalasha-style base. Flanking the shrine are large gilded yali pillars with carved lion-like figures and perforated golden panels behind. A deity murti seated on a golden throne is draped with garlands of white, orange and red flowers and a purple cloth. A bare-chested priest in an orange dhoti stands at right, holding a lit oil lamp aloft in his right hand and a bell in his left, with rudraksha beads on his chest and red armbands. Oil lamps stand on brass stands on the stage in front of the shrine, and a red carpet covers the platform. Dark red curtains form the backdrop. This is a puja or aarti in progress.2016-09-01December 18 20182018-12-18
