The murti, adorned with a tall crown, a silver-and-gold ornamented body and a multicoloured flower garland draped over the arch, stands under a gold arched frame. Brass oil lamps with bird-shaped tops flank the shrine, and a small silver kalasha sits draped in flowers on the right. The man has long dark hair and wears an orange shawl over orange clothing, with a rudraksha mala visible; his appearance is consistent with the candidate, but the page does not state he is present, so identity is uncertain. Mixed-colour garlands and red-and-gold cloth cover the altar area.2006-08-27 +1 copiesNovember 13 20152015-11-13October 13 20182018-10-13A photograph of a deity murti pair on a golden-curtained altar, decorated with yellow and white marigold garlands and red flowers. Two deity figures are adorned with gold crowns, jewelled necklaces and ornate gold robes; the central figure holds a staff and wears a tall silver-white crown. A standing man at right, seen from behind and bare-chested, wears an orange-red dhoti with a gold border and a matching orange-red turban, with a rudraksha mala around his neck, and raises his hand in worship toward the murti. Gold carved pillars frame the scene. The setting suggests a puja or darshan at night.2015-11-18A ritual scene before an ornate golden shrine framed by carved golden pillars with lion figures and a gilded canopy. A deity murti seated on a golden throne is draped with garlands of white, orange and red flowers and a purple cloth. A bare-chested priest in an orange dhoti stands at right, holding a lit oil lamp aloft in his right hand and a bell in his left, with rudraksha beads on his chest and red armbands. Oil lamps stand on brass stands on the stage in front of the shrine, and a red carpet covers the platform. Dark red curtains form the backdrop. This is a puja or aarti in progress.2016-09-01
