It wears a green and red patterned silk turban with a green leafy crown, a multi-layered diamond-studded gold collar and a gold waist belt over orange-and-red clothing. Rudraksha mala beads and long silver-threaded ornaments hang across the chest. Yellow marigold garlands and red rose garlands drape the shoulders and sides. Behind the head rises a large gold hooded cobra canopy with green gem-set fangs, set against carved gold and temple pillars. A banyan-style setting with ceremonial decoration suggests a temple worship display.2011-07-26A photograph of a Shiva lingam-style deity murti dressed for worship. It is draped with a long garland of red roses and yellow marigolds, with a bright orange cloth wrapped across its top, and wears a gold necklace set with green and white stones plus strands of rudraksha beads. Above it sits an ornate gilded canopy with green tassel-like drops and a cluster of green leaves and pink flowers. In the foreground a brass oil lamp stands on a purple brocade cloth, and the background is softly blurred. No people are visible.2011-10-14A close photograph of a deity murti or stone figure decorated for worship, seen from the chest down.
