Four shaven-headed priests in white dhotis with gold borders, bare-chested and wearing rudraksha malas, stand reading from printed sheets before a microphone stand. Behind them, rows of seated devotees in saffron-orange robes fill the stepped seating. No individual a person candidate is clearly identifiable among the visible figures.2016-12-23August 25 20172017-08-25Night outdoor ritual on a riverside ghat lit by strings of coloured lights. In the foreground, several shaved-headed priests in bare upper bodies and white dhotis with gold borders stand reading from printed sheets at a microphone stand. The man at right wears rudraksha malas and a sacred thread. Behind them, rows of seated devotees in saffron and orange robes watch, some with their hands folded in prayer. Brass lamps and ceremonial vessels are visible at right, and the scene is crowded with spectators on the steps.2016-12-23A photograph of a group of shaved-headed and long-haired men and a young boy seated closely together in a ritual chanting setting. Several wear rudraksha malas and small ceremonial pendants on bare chests. The boy on the left, with hands pressed in anjali, wears an orange-red bead necklace. A young man in the centre with long dark hair and rudraksha beads reads from a printed sheet held before a microphone on a stand. Behind them an older man in an orange cloth and a rudraksha mala looks on. The scene suggests a satsang or chanting session. No clear appearance-based a person candidate can be confirmed here, so the figures are described by role.2017-08-02August 02 20172017-08-02Photo 11711553Jun 16 2017
