Several men in saffron robes with bare shoulders and shaved heads, some with white sandalwood markings on arms and rudraksha malas, walk beside them. Many people carry colourful umbrella-like canopies on poles: red, orange, blue, green and a striped yellow one with an ornate embroidered panel. Devotees in orange and saffron robes walk behind them, some wearing white dhotis; a bare-chested man with a tall grey-white hairdo stands at the left-centre. In the foreground, several people with long dark hair face away and raise hands in greeting toward the procession. Floodlights light the scene. Several people are visible; the procession includes many more.2016-10-30Night procession on a dirt path with a row of people in white and off-white dhotis and shirts walking beside ornate, embroidered ceremonial umbrellas in gold, orange and red. A bare-chested man in an orange-yellow dhoti with a white sacred thread and a bare-chested figure with a long rudraksha-style necklace lead the group; several people hold their hands in anjali. A man at right holds a lit torch, and children in orange and red clothing walk among the adults. A bamboo grove and a building are behind them. The scene suggests a torch-lit procession.2016-03-02December 23 20062006-12-23Photo 11698058 +2 copiesFebruary 11 20132013-02-11Photo 11698066November 25 20152015-11-25November 05 20162016-11-05
