Wide view of a tiered stone stepped tank lined with rows of black stone Shivalingams on red-brown steps beside still water. Many people in white dhotis and white garments move among the lingams, some pouring water or bathing and others standing on the steps. Red flags on tall poles mark the lines, and an orange-clad figure stands in the lower right near the water.2016-09-19September 19 20162016-09-19Photo 11705316September 19 20162016-09-19 +1 copiesA photograph of a tiered red sandstone stepped structure lined with rows of black stone shivalinga-shaped lingams on pedestals. Several people in orange and saffron clothing move across the steps and landings, some on the upper tiers and some near the lower railing. Red flags on poles stand along the railing in the foreground, and a metal chain-link fence runs across the scene. Behind, orange-clad figures and parked vehicles are visible in a courtyard setting.2016-09-19 +1 copiesSeptember 19 20162016-09-19Photo 11705312 +1 copiesJuly 24 20172017-07-24January 13 20192019-01-13 +1 copiesPhoto 11705318 +1 copiesSeptember 19 20162016-09-19A photograph of a stepped ghat beside water, lined with many black stone Shivalingas set in rows on the steps. Several people in orange and saffron robes, including a shaven-headed monk in orange, stand among the lingas, along with women in white and blue saris and kurtas. Red and orange flags line the railing above, and a brass vessel sits at the lower right corner. The ritual appears to be an abhishekam at the lingas.2016-09-19
