A line of devotees in white and cream dhotis and saris climbs or descends stone steps beside a still water pool, many with palms pressed together in anjali. One figure in a bright orange robe stands at upper right with hands folded, and a child in a yellow sari walks at the lower right edge. Red flags and a white railing run along the steps, and reflections of the white-clad procession shimmer in the water.2017-08-14February 27 20142014-02-27February 27 20142014-02-27July 24 20172017-07-24Photo 11705310 +1 copiesNovember 22 20162016-11-22Photo 11705316A photograph of many devotees seated across tiered red steps in an outdoor ritual setting, with rows of black stone Shivalingas on each step. Most men wear white dhotis and sit bare-chested with rudraksha malas, while many others wear saffron-orange cloths. Brass vessels, bells and small oil lamps sit on the steps, and several people hold conch shells or pooja items. Red flags rise along the stairway railing, and a stage screen with a logo stands at the upper left. The setting suggests a collective puja or abhishekam of the lingas.2017-08-14
