In the foreground right, a young man in orange and gold-trimmed robes with long dark hair and a sandalwood-marked forehead holds a silver-white kalasha vessel aloft, water spraying from it. Beside him a younger person in orange bends forward offering a rudraksha mala, while behind them men in white dhotis and red garments and bare-chested devotees sit or stand. Seated women in white saris and white clothes with red shawls and red-beaded necklaces press palms together in prayer on the left and centre. Brass bowls, flowers and offerings lie on the green mat at right. Several dozen people are visible, many partly cut off at the frame edges.2016-07-03July 04 20162016-07-04 +1 copiesDecember 30 20162016-12-30Photo of a seated ritual gathering with devotees in orange and saffron dhotis and shawls. Beside him a man with a rudraksha mala raises one arm upward. Several others, some with white and yellow markings on their faces, sit in a row with offerings, brass oil lamps and plates on the floor in front. Behind them, many blurred people are seated in a bright hall with plain walls.2017-01-03Photo 11704963 +1 copiesApril 05 20122012-04-05January 03 20172017-01-03December 20 20112011-12-20August 28 20162016-08-28 +1 copiesPhotograph of a ritual initiation scene in a hall with red-and-white patterned mats. A seated man in a red-orange shawl with rudraksha beads has his forehead touched by a bare-chested attendant in white dhoti with red-and-gold borders, who holds a brass bowl and a leafy branch. A long-haired man with a beaded mala and white ash markings on his chest sits beside him, with another attendant in white behind. Several seated devotees in white dhotis and red shawls, some with white ash marks, fill the background. The scene suggests a blessing or puja, with visible brass vessel and sprigs of leaves.2017-07-03
