In the foreground, a person with long dark hair, orange and gold draped clothing, beaded necklaces and an orange tilak on the forehead raises a green leaf high, sprinkling water over seated devotees. Beside them, a younger person in orange and gold robes with glasses holds a garland-draped offering area. Many seated women wear white clothes with red shawls and red-and-white garlands, some with red tilak marks. Behind them, bare-chested men in white dhotis with red waistbands stand at a sprinkling rite, with yellow cushions and marigold-like decorations scattered around.2016-07-03A photograph of a ritual gathering inside a tent with red draped fabric backdrop and a white canopy above. In the foreground, a man in an orange dhoti and orange shawl with curly hair holds a metal vessel in one arm and flings green cloth outward, spraying water in a fine arc. Around him, men and women in white traditional clothes stand and sit; a bare-chested boy with wet hair receives the water, and several young participants in white dhotis sit on the floor. Brass railings line the left side. Many people are seated and standing across the scene, with a man in white at the back center.2017-04-03December 05 20162016-12-05 +1 copiesDecember 07 20162016-12-07Photo 11701985Photo 11702643April 29 20162016-04-29April 03 20172017-04-03Photo 11704291 +1 copiesPhoto 11705112 +1 copies
