Many participants wear orange or saffron robes, and some wear white clothing with white shawls. Several people hold lit oil lamps in their hands, and brass plates with food offerings, small bowls and a kalasha-like brass vessel sit before them, consistent with a puja or satsang setting. Red carpet runs along one side, a video camera on a tripod films the gathering, and a banner with a decorated pillar and framed photographs hangs on the walls. Some flower garlands rest near the front. Several shaved-headed monks and women in saffron are visible among the attendees, with a counted group well above twenty.2010-11-03
