A woman in a white blouse with a red-orange shawl stands at a flower-decked altar, holding a red flower in cupped hands with eyes lowered in prayer. Around her is a garland-covered offering table with red and white flowers, pink lotus blooms, bananas and marigold garlands, and two carved seated sage figures with folded hands flank the table. Behind her, a man in white with a tilak and a second figure in a yellow garment stand near golden lamp stands and carved pillars. A lion-headed carved base supports the altar. A priest in white stands at left.2016-06-30June 30 20162016-06-30June 30 20162016-06-30A man with short dark hair and a moustache stands behind a long table heaped with red and pink flowers, white jasmine garlands and yellow bananas. He wears a white t-shirt, a red-orange shawl over his shoulders and a red lanyard. Behind him, brass lamp stands and a golden ornamental frame surround a green-robed deity murti. Two grey stone figures and a bearded sage statue sit at the edges of the offering table in a temple setting.2016-06-30May 02 20162016-05-02 +1 copiesA woman in a white blouse and white pants with a rust-red sash drapes a garland of yellow marigolds and white and red flowers over a gilded throne-like seat (peetha) on the floor of a pavilion. Beside her, a man in a rust-brown dhoti and shawl, wearing rudraksha malas and bangles, stands with folded hands. Brass oil lamps, orange and white flower offerings, and scattered petals are arranged on the floor. Other ritual participants in white and saffron-brown garments stand behind a white canopy, and a striped rug lies at right. The scene suggests a puja or samaya deeksha-related ceremony.2015-07-17May 02 20162016-05-02 +1 copiesPhoto 11743219 +1 copiesPhoto of seated women at an ashram ritual gathering. In the foreground a woman with a white forehead mark and braided hair holds a pink lotus flower in cupped hands with eyes closed, while beside her another woman presses palms together in prayer. Both wear cream saris with coloured borders and orange shawls. To the left a woman in a yellow shawl and white clothes sits beside a second woman with orange shawl. In the background a man in an orange robe with a beaded necklace sits behind a microphone stand, and a golden throne with red cushions is visible at right. A silver tray with yellow powder and small bowls sits in the lower right foreground.2010-10-30A ceremonial honouring scene in an ornate gold-decorated hall. A central seated figure wears an orange-red robe, a red shawl, a gold crown-like headdress and a green-and-pink garland, sitting on a gold throne backed by a large arch of red, yellow, purple and green flower garlands. A man in a white dhoti with a rudraksha mala and red-orange garland kneels or stands at left holding a tray of fruit, while a woman in white with a mala assists beside the throne. A young girl in a cream sari with a braid stands in front, and an elderly man in a yellow-green shirt sits at right. Gold pillars and a trident-like staff appear behind. Appearance-based cues on the central figure (crown, saffron-orange robe, garlanded throne) are consistent with a person seated in person, though identity is uncertain. Five or six people are visible.2015-01-13October 18 20102010-10-18 +1 copiesNovember 14 20102010-11-14
