February 03 20132013-02-03A photograph of a man in a dim hall performing aarti with a tiered brass oil lamp (deepa) holding many lit flames. He is bald, wears a saffron-orange robe over his shoulder, has a tilak on his forehead and wears glasses. He stands in profile on the right, holding the lamp's curved handle with both hands. A dark curtain and a wall-mounted speaker are behind him, and a white cylindrical stand sits at left. Person's presentation is shaved-headed priest in orange robes, lacking distinctive a person cues, so identity uncertain.2011-12-13A shaved-headed priest in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha-style bead necklace performs aarti in a dim hall, lifting a tall silver multi-tiered lamp stand with many lit oil lamps in both hands. He gazes upward at the flames. Behind him are a wall, a dark speaker box, a metal railing and a pale pillar. No clear identity cues are visible, so the person is described by role only.2011-12-28October 26 20132013-10-26September 10 20122012-09-10A shaved-headed man in a maroon-red shawl and rudraksha mala performs aarti with a tiered brass lamp, a multi-tiered lamp with many flames burning on each ring, held high on a long bronze stand. He wears gold earrings and a bangle and has red kumkum on his hands. Behind him a wall-mounted screen shows small photos of people seated at a gathering. The appearance of the person performing aarti is consistent with the page's reference to a person, but the identity is not certain from appearance alone, so the role is given as priest performing aarti.2013-03-29A dim hall lit mainly by a tiered brass aarti lamp held aloft by a standing person in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha-style beaded necklace, bald-headed and wearing glasses. The multi-tiered lamp has many burning oil lamps and is raised with a long handle, the flames glowing against dark walls. Small oil lamps and open books sit on a low table in the foreground, with a dark curtain and speaker at right. Appears to be an aarti ritual during a puja. The person's identity is not established from appearance.2011-12-31September 09 20122012-09-09December 12 20112011-12-12A man in saffron-orange robes performs aarti with a tiered brass lamp holding multiple lit oil lamps, its flames glowing against a dim wall.
