Two lidded brass-and-wire pots with coconuts on top flank the central figure, which has a painted face and a jeweled crown. A blurred fire in the foreground suggests a homa or puja. Metal grilles cross the upper background, and a few blurred figures in red and white clothing stand behind the grille. No identifiable person is clearly in focus.2016-05-15May 15 20162016-05-15May 17 20132013-05-17Night view of a golden arched shrine framing two standing deity murtis dressed in jeweled, sequined costumes and crowns, with a green silk backdrop. Flanking it are two smaller pots draped in maroon and gold fabric with pearl embellishments, topped with peacock-feather motifs and mango leaves. Behind them hang sequined and beaded silver-and-red drapes over gold cloth, and a blue brocade cloth lies beneath. No people are visible; the scene shows an altar-style decoration for a ceremony.2016-11-06A decorated coconut set as a ritual focus, wrapped in a heavy garland of yellow marigolds and red roses and adorned with a layered gold-and-white jewelled necklace and rudraksha-style beads. A red kumkum mark is painted on the coconut, and green leaves and a grass tuft are tucked around it. Behind it, a woman in a red sari with a yellow flower garland and gold bangles is partly visible at right, with a blue patterned cloth at left. The arrangement suggests a puja or abhishekam offering.2013-10-12
