A woman seen from behind, with her hair in a bun, wears an orange sari with blue and gold borders and offers yellow flower petals from a brass vessel toward a large gilded deity structure. The golden shrine is draped with red, orange and white marigold garlands and includes an ornate arched frame, with a golden deity murti at its centre. A red-draped table in front holds brass plates, lamps and offerings. The setting suggests a Kumbhabhishekam ritual at a Shiva temple.2022-02-27December 02 20142014-12-02A priest in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, bare-chested with white tripundra marks on his arms and chest and a rudraksha bracelet, stands at right performing puja before a golden-framed shrine. Seated at centre is a deity murti of Lord Rama with a crown and jewelled necklaces, flanked by Sita and Lakshmana in ornate crowns, all draped in yellow, green, red and white garlands. A golden Hanuman murti sits at the front, hands folded near his face, on a purple brocade pedestal. Red brocade covers the platform, a multicoloured canopy hangs above, and brass bowls, flowers and a lit oil lamp sit at the base. The priest holds a small silver vessel while a flame burns in front of the shrine.2018-03-25A priest in an orange dhoti and shawl stands with his back to the camera, ringing a small silver handbell while facing an ornate gilded shrine.
