A photograph inside a temple-style hall shows a man with long hair and a white dhoti with gold border holding a multi-flame oil lamp aarti high toward a shrine. He wears a saffron shawl and white upper cloth, arms raised, flames bright against a dark background. Another man in white kneels on the floor below, bowing before the shrine. The shrine doorway is decorated with hanging lights, and painted dvarapala guardian figures in red and green stand on either side. A golden deity murti sits within the shrine. The scene reflects a satsang-setting aarti ritual.2014-10-02June 19 20142014-06-19Photo 11687410June 02 20142014-06-02 +1 copiesJune 19 20142014-06-19A temple shrine interior with a priest seen from behind, wearing an orange saffron shawl and a rudraksha bead necklace, raising a lit multi-flame oil lamp (aarti) toward a framed portrait on a golden throne-like altar. Two tall painted deity murti flank the shrine, with a small gold oil lamp on either side and red carpet below. Several seated devotees in white dhotis and orange robes, some with hands folded in prayer, sit along the carpet, and a string of small lights frames the doorway.2014-06-19May 16 20132013-05-16August 27 20142014-08-27KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 7/15/20192019-07-15August 22 20142014-08-22April 26 20122012-04-26A photograph inside a temple hall with blue and pink painted walls and gold trim. In the foreground, a shaved-headed man in an orange-brown cloth wrapped over his shoulder, with a rudraksha mala around his neck and white markings on his arm, holds up a tiered brass aarti lamp with many lit oil lamps. Two painted deity murti with four arms stand in niches on either side of a doorway, which opens onto a gold-decorated shrine with a framed portrait. Brass oil lamps stand along the walls and a white marble floor reflects the flames. The man is a priest performing aarti, not a figure whose identity is established here.2013-12-01
