July 28 20132013-07-28A photograph inside a temple hall with blue and pink painted walls and gold trim. In the foreground, a shaved-headed man in an orange-brown cloth wrapped over his shoulder, with a rudraksha mala around his neck and white markings on his arm, holds up a tiered brass aarti lamp with many lit oil lamps. Two painted deity murti with four arms stand in niches on either side of a doorway, which opens onto a gold-decorated shrine with a framed portrait. Brass oil lamps stand along the walls and a white marble floor reflects the flames. The man is a priest performing aarti, not a figure whose identity is established here.2013-12-01June 03 20142014-06-03March 06 20132013-03-06January 29 20132013-01-29May 16 20132013-05-16November 12 20132013-11-12A shirtless man with a shaved head and white ash stripes on his arms and chest stands in profile holding a brass multi-tiered aarti lamp with many lit oil lamps and an ornate handle, extending it forward with both hands. He wears a saffron-orange dhoti and a dark rudraksha mala across his chest. Behind him, several people in orange clothes sit on cushions on a white floor, with small oil lamps and offering trays, in a hall with framed photographs on the wall and a wooden door. The scene reads as an aarti ritual during a gathering.2017-01-04A shaved-headed priest seen from behind performs aarti with a tiered brass lamp holding many lit oil lamps. He wears an orange cloth over bare shoulders, white tilak markings on his arms, and rudraksha malas around his neck and wrists. Before him stands a shrine doorway with a gilded arch, flanked by painted deity figures in red and green. Another person in orange clothing stands in the background. Red carpet covers the floor, and bokeh lights frame the doorway.2014-04-25April 27 20142014-04-27April 27 20142014-04-27April 25 20142014-04-25
