December 05 20112011-12-05January 01 20122012-01-01A three-panel collage of a morning procession at an outdoor ashram setting under large shady trees. Dense crowds of devotees dressed in white clothing walk along a path, some with heads bowed. In the centre panel, a figure in orange and gold robes stands near a decorated palanquin or ratha with floral and gold ornamentation among the crowd. The left and right panels show more white-clad devotees gathered under banyan-type trees. Because this is a graphic collage of photographs, it contains no physical people itself; the count reflects the pictured crowd's scale only as described.2009-06-17December 05 20112011-12-05November 21 20112011-11-21January 01 20122012-01-01December 06 20112011-12-06Photo 11683201 +1 copiesPhoto 11684231Two-panel collage of outdoor temple scenes under large shade trees. The upper-left panel shows a black stone deity murti draped in red cloth and marigold garlands, with a red mound of offerings and a silver arch behind it. The upper-right panel shows two priests in white and yellow robes performing a ritual near a tree-lined path. The lower panel shows a large seated group of devotees in white clothing gathered under a spreading tree, with a woman in orange-red robes seated on a cushioned chair at the front, hands joined in prayer, and a bench or platform at the right. This is a graphic collage with no readable text.2010-06-24 +2 copiesNovember 21 20112011-11-21A night-time procession moves along a dirt path lined with dark green trees and an orange brick wall. In the centre, a man in a saffron-orange robe, with a tall ornate headdress, walks ahead of a line of about 20 men in white dhotis and white shirts or shawls. One man on the right carries a drum, and others follow closely in a group, with the lamplight dim against the dark sky.2010-11-21
