Photo 11684238February 12 20102010-02-12 +1 copiesA four-panel collage of temple worship under a large banyan tree. Top-left panel shows two women in orange saris offering a plate before a golden deity murti with a red-and-gold backdrop, garlanded with marigolds and a green-and-red silk cloth. Top-right panel shows a tall banyan tree with aerial roots and a white platform wrapped in marigold garlands. Bottom-left panel shows a person in orange robes with hands folded before a golden deity murti draped in marigolds on a red pedestal, with offerings on a plate. Bottom-right panel shows a person in orange robes standing beside the banyan tree's trunk, which has a garland and small offering plates at its base. The collage is a graphic of photographs, so the people count reflects the collage's own panels, not a single scene.2010-02-12Photo 11679989 +1 copiesA three-panel photo collage of an outdoor shrine area. In the left panel, a long-haired man in saffron-orange robes with a sash stands barefoot beside a large tree trunk with hands folded. The top-right panel shows him in orange robes facing a golden deity murti with red and orange garlands and a red flower-strewn base under a canopy. The bottom-right panel shows him in orange, hands joined in prayer, beside the gilded murti and a stone pillar among trees. The person appears in an appearance-based candidate capacity, a person, with long swept-back hair and saffron ceremonial robes, though the figure is partly obscured and the identification is uncertain.April 25 20122012-04-25January 16 20122012-01-16Outdoor temple scene beneath a large banyan tree with dense aerial roots and a white-washed stone platform around its base. A standing priest in saffron-orange robes holds a brass aarti lamp and bell-like implement before a decorated palanquin-style shrine draped with orange and red flowers and garlands. To the right, a second person in orange robes and a red cloth on the head stands with palms joined in namaskar, holding a tray. The black tiled floor and white stone benches suggest a sacred courtyard.2009-12-27December 09 20112011-12-09December 05 20112011-12-05August 24 20112011-08-242011 - Photo Album +1 copies
