A barefoot person in an orange-saffron dhoti and matching shawl leans forward to press their forehead against the carved grey stone base of a shrine, one hand resting on the stone and a long gold-beaded mala hanging from the neck. The stone is decorated with floral relief carvings and a small blue-and-gold deity figure sits on a ledge at the top left. The person wears a vertical white tilak mark on the forehead. The floor has a woven mat and painted lines in red, green and yellow, with a red pillar and red-and-white walls behind. Identity cannot be confirmed from appearance, so the figure is described by role as a devotee performing a prostration-style obeisance.
