September 09 20112011-09-09Outdoor photo at a temple courtyard with a stone-walled building and bamboo scaffolding. In the foreground a long-haired person in a saffron-orange robe with a gold-coloured trim and a gold necklace bends forward over a dark stone pedestal, pressing the palm of one hand on its edge. To the left a bald man in a white dhoti with a gold border stands with hands clasped, a saffron cloth over his arm. Behind them a few devotees in sarees watch, and a cameraman in white holds a video camera on the right. Pink temple buildings with arched windows appear in the background.2011-09-09July 23 20102010-07-23A photograph of a devotee in an orange sari bowing forward with her forehead pressed to a carved grey stone block at a temple. Her hands rest on the stone, with ornate carved motifs visible on its edge. Behind her, a group of standing people watch, including women in cream and yellow saris, a man in a white shirt with an orange sash, and a man in a striped shirt holding a fruit or offering. A pink colonnaded building and a stone pillar are in the background under a thatched canopy.2012-10-12A photograph of a person in an orange sleeveless top and orange wrap bending forward with long, dark, wavy hair falling over their face. They touch a carved grey stone ledge with one hand and rest their head against the stone, while a dark rudraksha mala with large beads hangs from their neck. A red wall and a stone pillar with carved detail appear behind them. The person's face is hidden by the hair and bowed posture.2010-09-02A man in orange saffron robes bends forward at a grey stone platform carved with floral and scroll relief, pressing his forehead against its edge while one hand rests on the stone. He wears a long dark rudraksha mala draped over his shoulder and has dark hair tied back. Behind him stands an orange and red patterned cloth hanging and a red wall, with a gold-coloured ornamental pillar at the right edge.2010-08-28A photograph of a temple courtyard where a figure in an orange saffron robe and orange shawl bends forward with hands pressed toward a carved stone platform, possibly in a touching or offering gesture. The figure has long, swept-back dark hair and a gold headband; the appearance cues of long hair, saffron clothing and adornment suggest a probable Swamiji (probable), shown in person. The figure stands on a leopard-print mat before a stone plinth with floral carvings. Behind, several people in white dhotis and white ritual clothes, some with orange or red garments and shawls, stand with hands folded near a red-walled building. A deity murti draped in orange and yellow flower garlands and a kalasha-like brass vessel stand at the right, with brass lamps and offerings on a stone ledge.2010-12-27A photograph of a person in saffron-orange robes bending forward and touching their forehead to a carved stone platform in a temple courtyard. The robe drapes over the head and shoulders, and a gold headband is visible in the hair. Beside the platform, a deity murti is decorated with orange and purple marigold garlands and a gold necklace, and brass lamps, a kalasha-style vessel and a silver plate with offerings sit on the stone surface. In the background, a drummer in white and a musician in a green shirt stand near a red curtain and a wall with a dark inscribed panel.2010-12-27December 03 20092009-12-03August 07 20102010-08-07October 12 20122012-10-12A photograph of a man with long, swept-back dark hair bowing forward with his forehead pressed to a carved grey stone step or ledge. He wears a sleeveless saffron-orange garment and a long rudraksha mala with large brown beads hanging down his chest and wrist. A white vertical mark is visible on his forehead. His right hand rests on the stone edge. Behind him are red and white striped walls. The gesture resembles a devotional prostration at a temple threshold.2010-10-06
