A priest in white dhoti and shawl with red borders stands at left, seen from behind with a shaved head, holding a lit oil lamp aloft toward a large dark stone sculpture of a dancing deity. The murti stands within a circular arch of flame-like scrollwork, holding a long staff across its body. An orange-walled building with a window and ceiling fan is behind, and a night sky is above. Arm bands of white paint are visible on the priest's arms.

A photograph outdoors of a man in a white dhoti and white shawl edged with gold, with a cream-coloured turban and a sacred ash mark on his arm, holding a lit oil lamp or flame vessel toward a large dark grey stone sculpture of a multi-armed deity murti. The deity stands within a circular stone halo, holding weapons including a trident-like staff and a mace, and is set on a stone platform in front of an orange building with a window. Plastic chairs, a small table and an orange and gold cloth-wrapped object appear nearby, with stone sculptures visible in a garden at right.

A photograph of a priest in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, wearing an ornate white and blue patterned headdress with a tall cap, standing with his back to the camera. He holds a brass oil lamp with a flame toward a dark grey stone statue of a multi-armed deity in dancing pose, surrounded by a carved circular halo, holding a trident. The priest appears to be performing aarti. The setting is an orange-walled building with a window and a green gate at dusk.

A night photograph of a dark stone deity murti, a four-armed seated form with a rudraksha mala and a yellow flower at its crown, set within an ornate silver arch decorated with yellow marigold garlands and green leaf strands. A priest stands at left in white ritual dhoti and shawl with a vertical white tilak on his forehead, holding a brass oil lamp with a visible flame near the statue as part of a puja or aarti. Dark foliage and a wooden railing frame the outdoor setting.

Night photograph of an outdoor shrine featuring a large black stone murti of a multi-armed deity seated on a pedestal, framed by an ornate silver arch decorated with yellow marigold garlands and green leaf garlands. A priest with a bare torso, white dhoti with a yellow-and-orange border, and a white-and-red tilak on his forehead stands at the left, waving a lit oil lamp and holding a brass bell. The base is coated in bright orange paint, with a small shivalinga-like form and scattered yellow flowers. Dense trees surround the scene. This is an abhishekam-style puja at a deity shrine; the lone person is a priest, so a person is none.

A barefoot man in a white shirt and white dhoti with a yellow sash and gold border stands on an orange-red mat beneath a banyan tree, performing aarti. He holds a brass lamp with a burning flame in one hand and a handbell in the other. Before him is a large black stone deity murti seated with raised hands, adorned with yellow flower garlands at its feet and a silver-framed arch behind it. Green banyan foliage fills the background. No one in the scene is identifiable as the a person; the man is a priest performing ritual worship.

Night-time photo outdoors at an orange-walled building with a glass-fronted window and a green gate. A standing figure in saffron-orange robes and a white-and-brown cylindrical head wrap faces a dark grey stone sculpture of a multi-armed deity inside a circular arch, holding a lit oil lamp toward the murti. A plastic chair, a small table with items, and a bucket sit nearby; the ground is bare dirt. The figure's face is not visible, and the scene reads as a lamp offering at a murti.

At night, a priest with a shaved head and white forehead markings stands on the right, wearing an orange shawl and holding a brass lamp with a lit flame toward a large black stone deity murti. The murti has a crown, a white cloth draped on its body, rudraksha beads, and white jasmine-style garlands with green leaves. Smoke rises in the background near a red-brown temple wall. A man in a light grey jacket and red-bordered cloth stands behind the priest. Because the priest is seen from behind and his face is not visible, his identity cannot be confirmed from appearance; he is described only by role as a priest performing aarti.
