September 19 20112011-09-19February 23 20072007-02-23Close view of a ritual offering table decorated with fresh flowers. Several metal plates hold conical mounds of powders: white (likely rice or ash-like powder), pale cream/beige, and bright yellow-orange turmeric powder in the foreground. Yellow marigold-type blooms, purple and magenta flowers, and red roses form a border around the plates along a white cloth-covered table. Behind is a dark green fabric with embroidered red sequin-like dots. No people are visible, and the powders appear to be prepared offerings for a puja.2018-01-01 +1 copiesApril 03 20082008-04-03 +1 copiesA photograph of a ritual offering spread on a red cloth with a golden-bordered edge. Sliced-open oranges fill a brass plate at right. A folded white cloth with gold border rests at centre beside a small bowl of red kumkum powder and bangles. Behind, a brass oil lamp with a tall stem and a brass kalasha-style vessel with netted cover stand near heaps of yellow powder and a decorated pineapple-like piece. No people are visible.2010-10-15Close-up photo of a brass plate holding a heap of small white cloth-wrapped bundles tied with knotted fabric. The fruit is an offering, and no people are visible.2009-09-07July 18 20162016-07-18Close view of a ritual offering spread on a white cloth along a low orange-draped platform. Four metal bowls hold heaped powders and grains: red kumkum at the top left, white rice or grain, grey-white ash or powder, and bright yellow turmeric powder at the right. The bowls are ringed and bordered by yellow marigolds, magenta and purple flowers, and orange roses. Behind is a deep green fabric with red sequin accents, and at the upper left a bare-footed person in white trousers is partly visible at the edge. No face is shown.
