A dark-faced deity murti sits on a gilded seat, dressed in gold armour and an orange-red dhoti with a matching red turban. Its gold-plated shoulder pieces, arm bands and belt glint in sunlight, and it holds a long wooden staff. Thick garlands of yellow marigolds, red roses, white jasmine and green leaves drape from its shoulders and frame it on both sides. An orange canopy and a silver arch surround the figure under trees outdoors, and the image shows a statue rather than any living person.2009-07-07A gilded deity murti stands in a silver-framed shrine niche against a red-orange backdrop.
