A close photograph of a terracotta pot filled with bubbling yellow liquid. Dry sticks burn with red embers between two orange-brown perforated bricks on a concrete slab. Turmeric powder dusts the rim of the pot. No people are visible, and the scene suggests an outdoor cooking offering for a Pongal-style harvest festival.2024-01-15June 03 20212021-06-03January 15 20162016-01-15January 16 20122012-01-16A clay pot sits on a small wood fire on a concrete courtyard, placed between two stacks of red bricks smeared with yellow turmeric. The dark earthen pot has a white substance at its mouth and a garland of green leaves and flowers around its rim. Small pink flowers and scattered yellow turmeric powder lie on the ground, and a clay bowl rests on the right brick stack. Concrete steps and a plain wall stand behind, and no people are visible.2007-01-07December 31 20062006-12-31January 15 20162016-01-15 +1 copiesJanuary 14 20132013-01-14January 14 20142014-01-14January 14 20172017-01-14January 14 20172017-01-14Close-up photograph of a Pongal-style cooking setup on a floor decorated with white rangoli or kolam lines. Three perforated reddish clay bricks form a small stove around a flame of burning twigs, with a shallow terracotta pot on top holding milk just beginning to boil and foam. A square stone slab sits beneath the bricks. Blurred warm yellow light and out-of-focus background objects surround the scene. No people are visible.2024-01-15
