A large crowd of villagers gathers under a thatched bamboo-pole canopy in an open courtyard, with white-walled buildings and banana palms behind. Many people sit or stand packed together behind wooden barrier poles, several in white dhotis and shirts, others in colourful saris including yellow, red and green. A man in a white dhoti and shirt stands near the centre, and a woman in a white sari stands at right holding a bundle of green leaves. Children are visible in the front rows. Motorbikes are parked at the right edge. No individual is clearly identifiable as a person.

A photograph of a long line of devotees standing under a corrugated metal roof at an outdoor ritual gathering. Men wear white shirts and white dhotis with rudraksha malas, and women wear white saris with gold borders, one in a pink sari and a girl in a yellow-pink floral dress. Several people fold their hands in namaskar. In the background, two saffron-robed monks stand near a small shrine area with brass vessels and lamps on a green mat, with a monk in saffron further back. A young girl offers something to a small brass lamp on the floor while a child in a white shirt stands beside an adult woman. Concrete block walls and a speaker are visible.

A photograph of a long line of devotees standing single file inside a plain, unfinished hall with a corrugated metal roof, exposed steel trusses and bare grey concrete walls. Most people wear white: men in white dhotis and shirts, women in white or cream saris, some with blue, yellow or patterned borders. Several women wear red bindis and gold necklaces, and one man in front wears a rudraksha-style beaded necklace. Some devotees hold folded cloth or small items. A single bare bulb hangs from the ceiling at right. The line appears to be waiting to enter or pass a ritual area during an evening event.

A photograph of two long lines of devotees standing face to face down a polished hall, with a central aisle between them. On the left, women in white and orange saris and a woman in a dark blue and red sari stand with folded hands near a boy in a yellow top. On the right, men in white shirts and dhotis, some with glasses, stand in line with hands clasped, while a man in a light blue shirt holds his palms together. Hanging colourful tassels and a framed picture are visible on the back wall. No a person candidate is clearly visible in this image.

A photograph of a thatched-roof open hall during an anna-daan meal service. A long queue of men, women and children stands in line behind a wooden rail on the left, many in white, yellow and bright saris, with a man in a white turban and white kurta at the front. Orange festoon banners hang from the thatch overhead. On the right, a seated elderly man in a light shirt eats from a steel plate at a long table, while a man in white clothes attends the service. Blue steel posts support the roof.

A photograph of a covered open-air serving hall with a corrugated metal roof supported by bamboo poles and rafters. Several people in white clothes serve food from steel pots and buckets along a long table. A woman in the foreground in white with a white-and-gold border holds a steel vessel and wears a rudraksha mala and bangles; another woman beside her wears a rudraksha mala. A young man in white with a sacred thread serves from pots, and women in pink, yellow-green and blue saris stand in line. A standing crowd fills the background. The scene appears to be community meal service.
