A bare-chested young man in orange-brown shorts climbs a tall bamboo and rope frame that forms a pitched-roof shelter, with a second worker partly visible inside the frame. A man in a white dhoti and shirt stands at left holding his arm up, near a blue barrel and a corrugated sheet. Two men in plain shirts and trousers walk on sandy ground at right. Palm fronds frame the left edge, and a cream two-storey building with terracotta roof and landscaped shrubs sits in the background under a pale sky.2007-05-25 +1 copiesA photograph of a bamboo scaffold frame under construction on dusty ground at an ashram site. Three workers are visible: one standing on the top bamboo crossbar at left in a plaid shirt, one in the middle near the top, and one at right in white dhoti and white shirt with a red cloth on his head, working near a blue plastic barrel. Palm trees, a thatched-roof white building with blue windows, stacked corrugated sheets at left and scattered bamboo poles fill the scene.2007-05-21A photograph of an ashram construction site on dusty ground lined with palm trees. A steel-frame roof structure is being built, with a worker in a dark top climbing its rafters and a man in white clothing standing to the left beside stacked corrugated sheets. Two people in casual clothes walk along the sandy path in the middle distance, and another figure in white stands at right near piled timber. A low white wall, a cement-coloured building with a terracotta roof and a thatched hut lie beyond. No ritual or event is visible, only building work.2007-05-25 +1 copiesDecember 15 20092009-12-15A photograph of workers constructing a large triangular bamboo scaffold frame outdoors on a dirt ground under a pale sky. Two men climb the frame, one in an orange garment on the upper slope and another in dark clothing lower down, while a third worker crouches at left tying or sorting poles. Bundles of cut bamboo and dry straw lie on the ground, a blue barrel sits near the frame, and palm trees and low buildings with a red-tiled roof stand in the background. No ritual or a person presence is visible.2007-05-25A photograph of an open-sided thatched structure under construction at an outdoor site. A long, low roof of dried straw or thatch rests on a framework of bamboo poles and wooden posts, with diagonal bracing poles leaning against the sides. Beneath the roof, stacked metal pipes or rods lie on crossbeams above a concrete plinth with red earth exposed inside its perimeter. Palm trees and a leafy branch frame the scene, and a small blue structure appears in the background. No people are visible.2007-06-05A photograph of a dry, dusty rural clearing beside a small whitewashed hut with a thatched palm-leaf roof and an open doorway. Two men walk across the foreground: the nearer wears a white shirt, white trousers and a dark belt, the other a light blue shirt, khaki trousers and sandals with a cross-body strap. Drying cloth hangs near the doorway, scattered litter lies on the ground, and a few distant figures stand on a raised mound under thin trees. No deity, ritual or a person candidate is visible.2007-03-03May 21 20072007-05-21Photograph of a construction site with a partly built concrete-block structure under a thatched palm-leaf roof, with unfinished block walls and scattered building blocks on bare earth. A man in a saffron-orange robe with long swept-back hair stands in the centre, gesturing as he speaks with a group of men in white dhotis and shirts, some in green or blue shirts. One man in white crouches at the lower left, and an older man in an orange shawl stands to the right. The group is inspecting the building works.2006-09-19
