April 09 20122012-04-09A seated man in a golden ornate throne with red cushions, wearing a saffron-orange turban, orange robe, heavy gold-beaded necklaces and bracelets, has his palms pressed together in namaste. Before him, a priest stands with his back to the camera, wearing a green embroidered hat, white dhoti with red-and-gold border, a flower garland, and a gold-bordered shawl, holding a brass oil lamp with lit flames. A silver trident and a golden staff topped with a bird stand nearby, and a large gold ornamental mace-like staff rises behind. Behind the throne are floral garlands in red, yellow and purple. On the right, a younger man in a blue-and-gold shawl and a garland stands with folded hands. The setting is a ceremonial stage with red draping.2015-10-18September 28 20122012-09-28October 18 20152015-10-18A photograph of a ceremonial court scene in a red-draped hall. A seated man on a gilded throne with lion-armrest carvings, wearing a maroon turban, rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and gold ornaments, sits with palms pressed together in greeting. Two silver trident-tipped staffs and a ceremonial mace stand beside the throne. In the foreground, a priest in white dhoti and an ornate green-and-gold headdress holds a lit lamp, and a man in a striped sash and white dhoti stands with flower garlands at a second throne decorated with yellow and white flowers. Devotees are partly visible at the bottom edge.2015-10-18September 17 20122012-09-17April 28 20152015-04-28June 08 20172017-06-08January 04 20132013-01-04A man in saffron-orange robes with a red sash and rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, a vibhuti mark on his forehead, hands folded in his lap. A shaven-headed man in white ritual clothes kneels to the left holding a small object, and two women in orange saris kneel at right, one holding a glass. Gold lamp stands flank the throne, a garlanded setting with fruit sits beside it, and beaded curtains hang behind. Swamiji (probable): long swept-back hair is not visible, but the saffron robes, rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold throne setting are consistent with the page's description of a discourse.2011-02-28February 25 20112011-02-25 +1 copiesA seated figure in orange-saffron robes and an orange head wrap sits on an ornate gilded throne with carved floral and scroll patterns, against a red backdrop and gold drapery. A priest with a shaved head, wearing a red-orange dhoti and shawl and sacred thread marks on his arm, faces him and holds a lit multi-flame aarti lamp with flames rising. A silver trident stands in front of the throne, and a tiger-striped cloth covers the seat. The scene suggests an aarti being offered to the seated figure during a ritual. The seated figure has long hair, a beaded necklace and rudraksha-style beads, which fits Swamiji (probable) as a seated honoured guest or teacher being offered aarti by the priest.2013-02-11
