A tall standing man in an orange-saffron shawl and beard stands at the right edge, and several women in orange and saffron sarees kneel in front with hands folded in prayer. Marigold and red flower garlands adorn a golden naga-hooded shape on the left, and petals are scattered on the ground. A purple-and-white banner hangs at the upper left.

In the centre a man lies prostrate face-down on an orange cloth spread over pale ground, with his arms stretched forward and a rudraksha mala around his neck. Around him, saffron-robed sannyasis with shaved heads and beaded malas stand with ornamental brass vessels, and one holds a black cloth. Behind them, devotees in white dhotis and sarees, some with folded hands, watch in silence, and a woman in a red saree holds a small brass pot. Outdoors on dry earth, a figure in saffron-orange sleeveless robes sits cross-legged on a woven mat, extending a hand toward a kneeling man in white dhoti and shirt with a rudraksha mala. Nearby, a clay pot sits over smoking straw and a small fire, with more people in white crouching around it. Behind them a crowd in white, orange and checked shirts watches, and a draped canopy with red and yellow fringes stands at upper right. The scene appears to be a ritual gathering with a fire pot and blessings, with about 20 people visible.
