In the foreground a man in a lime green and yellow striped short-sleeved shirt with a red wrist thread applies cement or plaster along the base of the wall with a trowel, while an older man with white hair and a light beige shirt stands beside him watching. Between the bricks at the foot of the wall is fresh grey mortar. Chalk or pencil marks are scrawled on the red wall surface.2016-09-15A photograph of an outdoor construction site at dusk. Concrete columns with protruding rebar rise from a half-built structure of grey concrete blocks. In the foreground, a man in a white shirt, pale trousers and a white cap bends over a metal tray, mixing or scooping wet grey mortar on the ground. Beside him, a woman in a red and white patterned sari with a head covering carries material. A young man in a green shirt stands on a higher section behind them. In the centre, a man in a white shirt bends forward and applies mortar or plaster with a trowel, a bowl of grey mixture nearby. At right, a man in a light pink shirt faces the stonework. Any name or identity is not established from appearance alone.2014-07-07A young worker in a light grey-white button-up shirt and dark trousers stands on a concrete ledge, holding a shallow round tray of grey wet mortar or cement in both hands. Behind him a second worker in a blue shirt is partly visible at the right edge, beside a wooden pole. The setting is an open, dry, half-built site with low cylindrical white bollards, young trees, a distant white multi-storey building with red roofs, and a pale concrete wall in the foreground. No ritual, deity or a person depiction is visible.2010-01-26Three workmen are plastering the base of a pale grey concrete block wall at an outdoor construction site on bare red-brown earth. The man in the centre, wearing a striped shirt and grey trousers, crouches low with a trowel at the wall's base. The younger worker in a blue t-shirt and grey shorts stands beside him watching, with a bare midsection and a thin necklace. Wooden planks lean at the right edge. No ritual, deity, or a person appears in the scene.2010-01-26A dusty unpaved street beside a half-finished concrete building under construction, its grey plastered walls partly raised and an orange-painted structure behind. A tall bamboo scaffold leans against the wall, and a worker in a cap and light shirt stands atop it. Another man in a blue shirt walks along the sandy road, while a blue tarpaulin covers a heap of materials near pale stones and gravel.
