A procession moves through a whitewashed hall toward an open doorway framed by palm fronds. At the centre, a man in a plain orange sleeveless robe walks forward, one hand on a tall orange-wrapped metal urn decorated with strings of beads. Beside him, a man in an orange dhoti and shawl walks on the left. Behind them, people in white dhotis and orange or red shawls follow, a woman carries a brass plate with a green leafy offering, and an older man in white with a rudraksha mala and gold chain walks in front of a line of onlookers. A wall clock hangs above the doorway.

Photograph of a night-time indoor hall with an open doorway framing a dark outdoor scene of palm trees and a tall gold-topped ceremonial pole. Two men in saffron-orange robes stand at the entrance: the taller one wears a rudraksha mala and an orange dhoti with bare upper body, and the other wears an orange shawl and a dark garland-like ornament near his head. To the left, three men in white dhotis and white shirts with yellow or orange shawls stand in a line, and a seated man in white sits on the floor near the threshold. On the right, a small table holds a brass pot, a plate of yellow flowers, and a white plastic chair. A wall clock reads 7:65 above the doorway. The room is bare with a concrete floor.

A night-time procession entering a doorway at an ashram. A bald man in a pink-orange robe wearing a long yellow-white marigold garland walks at the center, flanked by monks in saffron-orange robes. A young boy in white stands to the side. A man in white dhoti with an orange shawl carries a silver kalasha topped with green mango leaves and a coconut. Two attendants hold up multicoloured fringed parasols, and a woman in orange robes with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala walks at the left. White plastic chairs and a red mat are at the lower right.

Night procession indoors along a red carpet runner between metal railings. A smiling man in the centre wears a large white and red flower garland, an orange robe, a gold necklace and a red bindi, and walks forward with his hands at his sides. Behind him, an attendant in white dhoti and shawl holds a decorated fringed parasol on a pole, with a second parasol and banana leaves beyond. Several saffron-robed men with rudraksha malas and tilak walk in the procession on the right, and a man in a white dhoti stands at the left edge. Shelves of books and a wall clock are visible in the background. Person in the centre is a person, shown with a garland and gold necklace in an orange robe, arriving in procession.

Photo of a ritual welcome inside a hall with white walls and a wall clock. A bare-footed young man in saffron-orange robes and a beaded orange-and-white mala walks forward, smiling, with hands together in greeting while a man in white dhoti and shawl with a crown-like headpiece carries a brass kalasha with a flower on a tray. Saffron-robed sannyasis stand behind, a striped parasol and a decorated umbrella are held overhead, and a green leafy garland hangs above. Devotees in white and one in yellow stand on both sides with palms pressed together in namaste, and rangoli-style floor designs lie on the ground.

A procession moves through an interior hall toward a doorway opening onto palm trees and bright sunlight. In front, a sannyasi in orange robes carries a brass pot garlanded with white flowers and topped with green leaves and an orange tassel. Behind them, a man in a white dhoti and yellow shawl carries a tall orange-and-white ceremonial staff, and others in white dhotis and orange shawls walk alongside. Two large decorative umbrellas, one orange and one multicoloured with fringe, are held above the procession. On the right, bystanders in white and grey stand with hands folded in greeting near a wall display with a clock above. Sunlight streams across the floor.

Three multicoloured tasselled umbrellas are held above the group, and attendants in white and saffron stand around them. On the right, a man in white dhoti with an orange shawl holds a silver tray with a yellow plantain or fruit offering and flowers. A coloured mat lies on the concrete floor, and white plastic chairs sit at the right edge.
