October 10 20132013-10-10Outdoor ritual photograph under a corrugated metal roof with palm trees behind. A tall man with swept-back hair, gold necklaces and a gold-trimmed maroon-brown dhoti holds a small silver bell and a lamp-like vessel while a green leafy branch rests in front of him. Beside him, a shaven-headed man in a matching maroon-brown dhoti holds a silver plate and a lit oil lamp. A copper kalasha with yellow chrysanthemums and pink roses sits on a low platform draped with a striped cloth, with a yellow flower garland and orange cloth nearby. A woman in maroon with folded hands stands at the right, and a figure in white stands at the far left. The sign on the photo reads Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam.2013-10-10Outdoor photo of a shaven-headed man in a rust-brown dhoti and wrap with a gold yellow border, wearing a heavy gold necklace and gold earrings with a red bindi on his forehead. He stands before tall coconut palms holding pink flowers in his cupped hands and a sprig of green leaves in one hand. A silver vessel with red offerings is visible at the left edge. He appears to be engaged in a ritual offering. No caption names him, and his appearance does not clearly meet the criteria for identifying a person, so he is described by role and marked unsure.2013-10-10A photograph of a man in saffron-orange robes standing before a copper-clad flagstaff, taking yellow flowers from a silver tray held by hands at the lower right. He wears a red and orange flower garland, an orange-beaded rudraksha-style necklace, and a white and red forehead mark, with eyes closed. Two hands from the left hold a brass tray with straw and a wooden stick. Palm trees and sky are behind him.2013-03-11Night outdoor ritual scene beneath a large banyan tree. A man stands centre-right wearing a rust-red dhoti, a gold-toned ceremonial necklace, a long pink-and-white flower garland and a white forehead mark, raising one hand in greeting. Around him, several monks in orange and rust-red robes with white head bands stand in a line; one holds a brass plate of offerings and others hold ceremonial instruments. A cameraman in a blue striped shirt films at right, lit by a small light. A purple curtain hangs at left beside floral garlands, and a small canopy with green leaves sits above a tree-root platform.2013-07-22Outdoor ritual photograph at dusk beside a palm tree. A man with a shaved-looking dark head and tilak on his forehead stands bare-chested in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, wearing a gold ornamental necklace and pink-and-red flower garlands with yellow tassels, and gold earrings. He raises one hand near an ornately carved copper-toned kalasha-style vessel wrapped with a yellow-flowered garland and a yellow cord. A hand from the frame holds out a silver plate toward him.2013-10-05October 05 20132013-10-05Outdoors beneath coconut palms, a figure with long dark hair stands barefoot on a red stone platform, wearing an orange-red saffron garment with a golden-yellow border and a thick red-and-blue flower garland around the neck. Raised hands gesture as they speak. Nearby, a woman in a rust-colored sari and several men in orange and white robes with rudraksha malas stand with palms pressed together; one man holds a silver tray. A decorated stone pillar with garlands and scattered flower petals stands to the left, and a large orange parasol with teal trim is at right. The figure's appearance is consistent with a person, though this is uncertain from appearance alone, and the visible person is shown speaking on a ceremonial platform.2015-01-04June 07 20162016-06-07A photograph of a man with long, swept-back dark hair and a red forehead mark, wearing a light olive-green draped cloth with gold border and a heavy gold bead necklace, reaching up with his right arm to touch an ornate golden-brown ceremonial structure decorated with yellow and pink marigold garlands. He gazes upward. At the right edge, another person's hands hold a gold tray with an orange cloth. Palm fronds blur in the background.2010-12-20September 16 20122012-09-16October 10 20132013-10-10
