October 24 20062006-10-24October 24 20062006-10-24A photograph of a painted statue of a seated deity figure on a pale grey-blue pedestal atop a building parapet, with green foliage to the left against a pale sky. The statue has a pink-red body, a tall ornate crown, gold jewellery and a multi-strand necklace, one hand raised in blessing and the other resting open on the lap with white lower garments. No physical people are visible; the figure is a statue, so it is a depiction of a deity murti rather than a person.2006-10-24November 18 20052005-11-18 +1 copiesA photograph of a painted statue seated in lotus-style crossed-leg posture on a teal pedestal atop a grey-blue parapet wall, with a palm frond at right and an overcast sky behind. The figure has a red and gold cap or turban, a red-and-white forehead mark, a red-and-maroon dhoti, and holds a wooden staff topped with a red flag-like finial in its left hand, while its palms are pressed together in namaste at the chest. The statue is a depiction, not a physical person, and no living people are visible.2006-10-24Photograph of the colourful upper tower of a Hindu temple gopuram against a pale blue sky. Painted stucco sculptures in red, green, yellow and blue depict deity figures standing in niches, a multi-hooded serpent canopy above the central shrine, and winged mythical creatures with rearing horses or bulls at the corners. A golden kalasha finial sits on each side. No people are visible, and the scene shows only temple architecture and sculpture.2012-05-29May 29 20122012-05-29February 08 20132013-02-08February 28 20112011-02-28 +1 copiesA brightly painted stone sculpture of a multi-headed, multi-armed deity seated cross-legged atop a temple gopuram. The figure has five faces, each with a crown, and many arms holding weapons and ritual objects, with a yellow flower-like emblem and bangles. Ornate gold necklaces and jewelled belts are painted in vivid red, blue, green and yellow, with a teal pedestal below. The sculpture is a deity murti; no living people are visible.2012-05-29 +1 copiesA man with long dark hair sits on a green-and-purple platform beside a large gilded statue of a winged figure with a tall crown, moustache and bejewelled arms, who is seated on a throne. The seated man wears an orange shawl-like wrap over a bare upper body, with a green bead mala around his neck, and holds a long wooden staff in one hand while gesturing with the other. Nearby on the platform are a small printed leaflet, a garland of flowers, and a white tent canopy overhead. A person in a patterned blue shirt stands at the left edge and another in colourful clothing at the right edge. The appearance matches the page's a person cues of long hair, saffron-orange wrap and rudraksha-style mala, so the seated man is a person in an outdoor setting, with the statue in gold as a deity murti.2006-02-25A painted clay or resin figurine of a seated bearded sage with hands pressed together in namaste, set in front of a large pink lotus-petal base. The figure wears red dhoti-style cloth with a gold-and-white belt, rudraksha malas on the chest and arms, a red bindi and white marks on the forehead and body, and a topknot of grey hair. It is a statue, not a physical person, and the a person field reflects that it is a depiction with no appearance-based candidate.2014-09-16
