A deity murti stands in a gold-framed niche, decorated with garlands, flanked by red-and-white columns. A figure in long saffron/orange robes with long hair walks toward the shrine, holding a wooden tray, while another person in orange stands beside a small table. Devotees in white and blue shirts, a checked shirt and saris with folded hands stand at a metal railing watching the ritual. Ornate lamps and brass stands sit before the shrine.2009-12-18October 03 20082008-10-03March 07 20162016-03-07A photograph of an outdoor shrine with a stone deity murti under a corrugated metal roof supported by red pillars, with orange curtains hanging at the sides. A priest in an orange-saffron dhoti stands before the murti, tending it near brass lamps and offerings. Around 20 devotees in white ritual clothes and light shirts crowd the open walkway, some with hands folded and others watching, while a woman in a sari stands at the left edge. Lush trees and palms appear beyond the structure. No figure in the scene is clearly identifiable as a specific individual from appearance alone.2010-11-14December 23 20102010-12-23Photo of a shrine interior with a stone-carved doorway, where a crowd of devotees gathers around a central figure in a red and gold sari with a long flower garland and a large dark bun, seated before an altar. Behind the altar, a deity murti is decorated with marigold and multicolored flower garlands, and a seated figure in orange robes sits nearby. Several men in orange and saffron garments and a man in white dhoti with a white shirt are part of the scene, with some devotees smeared with white ash and wearing rudraksha malas. Offerings of flowers, a brass vessel, and a small kalasha sit on the stone platform. A framed picture stands at the left edge.2016-03-07Outdoor temple shrine under a corrugated roof at dusk, with a stone shrine topped by a painted deity panel flanked by two stone bulls. Inside the shrine, two large deity murti are dressed in red and white garments and garlands, with yellow and orange flower garlands and banana leaves framing the entrance. A large crowd of devotees in white dhotis and kurtas and women in saris stands along a metal barrier and a red carpet leading to the shrine. In front, a saffron-robed priest in orange cloth with a rudraksha-style garland stands beside a chair, and another white-clad attendant stands nearby. The scene appears to be a darshan or puja gathering, with many people pressing toward the shrine.2016-03-07January 17 20102010-01-17December 31 20112011-12-31A photograph inside a temple shrine with carved stone pillars and a deity murti decorated with marigold garlands and yellow-and-red floral arches. A man with a tall, dark, swept-back hairstyle, a white forehead marking, a red-orange cloth and a yellow-and-gold necklace sits centrally on a raised platform, smiling, with a long flower garland. Behind him a woman in orange clothing kneels and touches him while another figure in a white top and orange garment stands nearby. Devotees in white, cream and orange clothes crowd the foreground, some with white marks on their faces and arms, and a woman in red with a rudraksha-style necklace reaches forward. The setting suggests a puja or padapuja ritual. Swamiji (probable) appearance cues: swept-back hair, ornate gold necklace and saffron-coloured clothing, seated at the centre of the ritual.2016-03-07
