The seated man wears a deep red-brown dhoti and a long garland of yellow and white flowers, with a tall black crown-like headdress and white forehead markings. Behind him, a man in orange cloth bends over the platform while another in orange stands at the right, and a standing figure in orange sits at the left edge. The altar holds large deity murtis draped in marigold and orange garlands, and a brass vessel stands on the floor. Devotees surround the platform: a bare-chested man, a man in white shirt, women in maroon saris with rudraksha malas and white vibhuti, and a girl in white. The seated central figure's appearance is not clearly established as a person from the image alone.2016-03-07March 07 20162016-03-07A temple shrine interior with a golden-lit stone doorway and carved pillars. In the centre, a figure in an ornate black turban and a red-and-gold garment with a yellow marigold garland and a heavy ornamental necklace stands before a shrine altar, with hands extended toward a silver vessel. Behind, a deity murti with a crown and a yellow-and-white garland stands in front of a decorated arch, flanked by orange-robed attendants. Around the figure, devotees in white dhotis and red-bordered shawls with sandalwood marks on their foreheads kneel and touch the altar, while women in red saris and white garments join in. Flower petals and marigolds are scattered on the stone floor. The scene suggests a Mahashivaratri pada puja at a temple.
