December 21 20072007-12-21Night photograph of a ceremonial flag-hoisting at an outdoor event. A figure in long flowing saffron-orange robes with long dark hair stands on a white raised platform, one hand gripping a rope that raises a tall copper-colored pole. A red and orange flag with a blue emblem hangs from the pole, decorated with a green palm-leaf bundle. Strings of warm lights and small coloured bulbs frame the scene. Two people in white clothes stand in front with their backs to the camera, and a woven basket of flowers sits on the platform at left.2007-12-21November 12 20102010-11-12 +1 copiesFebruary 28 20132013-02-28February 28 20132013-02-28Night photo of a tall copper dhvaja (flagpole) with carved floral and figure panels, mounted on a white stone base in a temple courtyard. A man in orange robes and a white shawl stands on the base, holding the flag ropes with both hands, with long dark hair. Strings of multicoloured fairy lights hang in diagonal lines across the dark sky. In front, a brass bowl, a brass lamp and a brass bell sit on a small wooden stand, and a dark plaque with white lettering is mounted on the base beside the pole. The scene suggests a flag-hoisting ceremony.2007-12-21January 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesNovember 29 20112011-11-29 +1 copiesA standing figure in orange-saffron robes and a draped orange cloth over the head, wearing a beaded rudraksha-style mala, holds a flame in one hand and a small brass bell in the other beside a tall copper dhvaja-style pole wrapped with orange cord and decorated with yellow and orange marigold garlands.
