Night photograph of an aarti at a large banyan tree with dense hanging aerial roots. In the foreground, a bare-chested man with long swept-back dark hair, a red rudraksha mala and gold bangles holds a silver lamp with a bright flame that sends smoke upward. Behind him, a second man in white clothing stands near the flame. The dark background and warm firelight make the tree roots stand out.

Night ritual outdoors beneath a large tree with dense branches. A central figure with long swept-back dark hair, a red-and-orange garment with gold trim, a red and white flower garland, and a gold bangle sits on an ornate gold-framed throne holding a silver bell in one hand while waving a flame-lit lamp over a fire with the other, sending smoke upward. Around him, several shaved-headed men in saffron-brown robes with gold borders, white forehead markings, rudraksha malas and gold necklaces stand with hands folded in prayer or holding a silver tray with offerings. Night ritual outdoors beneath a large tree with a bright light at upper right and smoke drifting through the frame. A smiling figure with swept-back dark hair, a red vermilion mark on the forehead, a red and white floral garland, and a saffron-orange cloth draped over the shoulders raises a lit oil lamp aloft in one hand while holding a small handbell in the other. Behind him, several saffron-robed men with white-painted foreheads and gold-bordered necklaces stand with hands folded in prayer or holding a metal plate. A gold-edged red ceremonial backdrop appears behind the group. The figure with the lamp has distinctive long swept-back hair, saffron-orange clothing and garlands, matching the page's reference to a person, so this is a probable match for a person leading an aarti.

Night ritual outdoors beneath a large tree. A figure in a red-garlanded rudraksha-style necklace of red beads and an ornate gold pendant stands at left, dark hair swept back, holding a lit flame over a small oil lamp with both hands; a person candidate by visible cues (long swept hair, red and gold garland, ornate clothing) and seated on a gold-framed red throne. Behind him, shaved-headed priests in brown-orange dhotis and white forehead markings hold a metal tray and stand with hands folded in prayer. A white-clad devotee at right also joins palms. Smoke rises from the flame under a spotlight.

A night photograph in front of a large dark banyan-like tree with hanging aerial roots. A man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with long dark hair and bare arms holds a brass arati lamp with a bright flame in one hand and a brass bell in the other, performing arati. To the left, two men in white dhotis and orange shawls stand watching, and on the right a man in white with an orange shawl stands with palms pressed together in namaskar. A woven mat lies on the ground in the lower left. A probable Swamiji candidate is present, identifiable by long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and the act of performing arati with a lamp and bell.

Photograph at dusk or night of a large old banyan tree with aerial roots hanging from its branches. In the centre foreground, a figure in an orange robe over a red top raises a lit oil lamp overhead with one hand, flame visible. Beside them, two men in white dhotis with orange shawls stand on a circular stone platform: the one nearer the lamp holds a tray and the other holds a small bell. Dark, dense foliage fills the background.

Night photograph of an outdoor ritual at a temple-like courtyard beneath a large banyan tree with a bright light source above. A man in dark dhoti with a long pink and white flower garland and layered beaded necklaces stands centre, hands together. Beside him a figure in saffron-orange cloth holds a long staff. At left, a man in red cloth holds a lit oil lamp and a brass plate of offerings. Another attendant in white dhoti stands at right beside a pillar draped with yellow and purple flower garlands. Stone slabs pave the ground with scattered flowers. Lamp and offering plate suggest puja or aarti.

Night outdoor ritual under a large tree with a twisting trunk. A central figure with long dark swept-back hair, a red and pink flower garland, orange-gold draped cloth, gold armband and bangles holds a silver aarti plate with a lit oil lamp and smoke rising, standing before a red and gold ornate throne. Around him, several shaved-headed men in saffron-orange robes with gold borders wear white forehead marks, rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and gold ornaments; one holds a silver tray, others stand with palms pressed in prayer. The central figure shows distinctive long hair, garland and ornate clothing, so the appearance-based label applies: Swamiji (probable), performing aarti at the throne.
