December 23 20092009-12-23Photograph of a outdoor ashram courtyard beside a whitewashed building with barred windows. Several men in white ritual and everyday clothes stand in line holding steel plates and small cups, apparently collecting food or tea. The man in front wears a white short-sleeved shirt, grey trousers, glasses and a lanyard, carrying a steel plate. Beside him a man in white shirt and white dhoti holds a cup on a tray. Further back, a man in a cream kurta holds a plate, while others in white kurtas and dhotis stand near a green hose and a stack of cylinders. The setting is a dirt-floored yard with a banana leaf in the foreground.2006-10-07Outdoor procession at an ashram on red earth. Several men in white shirts and white dhotis stand in a row, holding garlands of flowers and a decorated tray or basket. The man second from left holds a flower garland in both hands. The man at far right wears a white shirt and white trousers with a pendant on a dark cord. Behind them, a colourful canopy with orange, blue and green panels and red tassels shelters a procession. Women in white saris and white-clad devotees stand in the background beside a low tiled-roof building with a water tank.2006-12-28Outdoor photo on a grassy lawn in front of temple structures with white and pink domes and a large tree. A bare-chested priest in white dhoti with a gold-bordered cloth on his shoulder holds a lit aarti lamp toward a figure carried by a man in saffron-orange robes. The carried figure is a small orange-robed statue or murti seated on a tray decorated with white flower garlands. Two attendants in white kurtas and dhotis hold brass trays of flowers. A man in orange robes stands at left with his hand on his hip, and a white cloth hangs at right. The scene shows an aarti offering during a pada yatra visit.2008-08-07December 11 20052005-12-11December 23 20092009-12-23December 31 20112011-12-31A photograph of a small group walking single file along a dirt path across a grassy lawn beside a long white-washed wall with a terracotta-tiled roof. In the centre, a long-haired man wears a saffron-orange robe and a marigold garland and holds his hands together in front of him. Around him, several bare-chested men in white dhotis walk alongside, one carrying a bunch of green bananas, and a second saffron-robed man stands further back among them. A two-storey tiled-roof building with a wooden balcony stands to the right. Trees and bright sunlight fill the background.2006-11-10Outdoor photograph of a ritual at an ashram-style courtyard of sandy earth under coconut palms. A standing man in saffron-orange robes with long swept-back hair, a rudraksha mala and a gold pendant performs a ritual before a young banana tree wrapped with a cloth band, holding a small brass ritual vessel. Kneeling in white with a yellow shawl at the lower left is a devotee with a brass lamp and offerings. Four men in white dhotis and white kurtas with yellow shawls stand to the right holding brass plates of flowers, fruit and lamps. Plastic white chairs and a bamboo fence sit in the background. The orange-robed figure has distinctive long hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha beads, consistent with a probable Swamiji appearance.2009-09-25A photograph of a group of men standing in a garden walkway with paved stone steps, lined by crotons and shrubs, a mango-like tree and a small building behind. They stand with palms pressed together in namaskar, a greeting or prayer gesture. Most wear white dhotis and shirts; several have orange or saffron shoulder cloths, and one man in the centre wears a yellow shawl. One older man on the right wears a brown shawl over white clothes. Visible people number about fifteen. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible in this group.2008-08-07December 31 20112011-12-31December 26 20102010-12-26
