March 01 20162016-03-01A tall copper dhwajasthambha, a ceremonial flagstaff, rises steeply from a bundle of green straw at its base, with banded copper rings along its length and an ornate capital at the top. A saffron-orange cloth flag streams from a rope on its side, and a garland of yellow and orange flowers hangs from the left under a metal roof edge. A palm frond appears at the right against a bright sky. No people are visible. This matches the dwajarohana flag-raising ritual noted on the page, though that is not visible in the photo itself.2011-09-09March 01 20162016-03-01 +1 copiesA tall, segmented copper pole rises diagonally from the lower left toward the top of the frame against a bright pale-blue sky.
