Behind him stands a large wall of marigold and rose garlands. In front, a brass aarti lamp and multiple silver and brass thalis of flowers, fruit and oil lamps are arranged, while women in white and coloured saris hold brass trays. Devotees sit on the floor, some with palms joined. The scene suggests a puja or darshan ceremony.2013-07-22July 10 20132013-07-10March 07 20132013-03-07A seated figure on an ornate golden throne with a lion-shaped base is receiving a ritual offering. He wears an orange-brown turban, a gold-trimmed saffron-brown robe, a long red and white flower garland, and gold necklaces and bangles, and holds his hands in anjali mudra. Around him, women in white, cream and red saris stand or kneel holding brass and silver thalis of flowers, fruit, rice and oil lamps. A tall brass lamp with a flame stands nearby, and garlands drape the backdrop. Several devotees in white and orange clothing sit at the front, and a photographer is visible behind.2013-07-22
